So the guillotine clippers work great for my lab, but I've got a tiny Chi who absolutely hates it and squirms so much trimming his nails is a two person job. I bought one of those cordless pet nail grinders thinking that may help, but I'm having an aweful time maneuvering it without sight. I try to hold his paw and position his nail with one hand and use the other to work the grinder, but it's difficult for me to get an individual nail on the grinder without catching his fur or mangling my own nails in the process. I'm not sure if this is because I can't see the unit to angle it just perfectly or because his paws are so small or what. Anyway, was hoping to get input on anyone else unsighted who successfully trims little dogs' nails and what you use or tricks to use the grinder successfully.
Thanks!
